John Philbrook
John has spent more than 30 years in the environmental field and has earned a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a Masters in Civil Engineering from NC State.
After a 3-year stint with the Department of Defense at China Lake, California and 14 years with the Region VIII Office of the USEPA in Denver, John began his consulting career with Woodward-Clyde Consultants in 1986. Here, he managed a variety of projects and groups including the Denver Office. In 1996 he joined Harding-Lawson Associates and served as the Denver Office Manager and Central Region Manager until June of 1999. His consulting practice areas focused on air quality, hazardous waste and environmental planning and permitting. He worked with a broad range of clients while concentrating on the petroleum and mining markets.
John began his recruiting practice in 1999 with the creation of PEC Services and his association with Akasha Ames and the Snowdon Group. Located in Denver, Colorado, his practice is built on the same philosophy of quality client service that he developed during years in the consulting business. This attitude, coupled with his intimate knowledge of the Environmental field, has enabled him to be highly successful in assisting mid and senior level managers and practitioners to develop new career opportunities. His clients include Environmental, Engineering Consulting and Architectural firms throughout the United States, ranging in size from about 200 employees to more than 17,000.
